Thank you to everybody who came to the Handmade market and stopped by for a little chat, it was lovely to meet/see you! It was a great busy day, I was delighted to see how many people like and support handmade.
Luckily the rain did not fall until the very end and the mud pools did not put anyone off from wondering around the Handmade living tent.
I met some really lovely ladies yesterday and I am looking forward to hearing from them about the customised jewellery they would like me to create. Please keep an eye on this website and the online shop as all the items from the market are going to be uploaded there today.
Now that I know what is most popular, I will keep making those designs in different colours and with slight twists (not just the same boring stuff) and upload them to the online shop.
Thank you to all my lovely supporters from around the world too, I am planning something special for you all!
Love,
Catalina xxx

Bracelets for the Handmade Market

The Handmade Market is in one month and I thought I start making some bracelets. Although it is mainly for Christmas shopping I could not keep my imagination pick up on the beautiful spring colours. So I made some bracelets in cherry blossom pinks with young green accents. Here is a sample of what is going to be available at the market and the lovely cherry tree.

My First market!

Great news: I will have a stall at the Handmade Market on 4 December!!! This will be my first market ever! How exciting!
I have already started making new jewellery pieces, I will post some pictures soon.
Now I have to decide on the design of the stall display. I can't really decide, should it be black or white?

200 Facebook Fans Giveaway!

Yay, 200 Fans! To all my lovely Facebook "likers" THANK YOU and WELCOME!!!  Thanks to everyone who's been spreading the word about my Facebook page too, I really appreciate your support!

To celebrate hitting this milestone, I'm giving away a lovely just (hand)made paisley pendant. I used thinner non-tarnish brass wire to wrap the teal and fuchsia seed beads around a thicker brass wire in the shape of a paisley.

If you would like to take part into the draw to win this beautiful pendant, just leave a comment below with your email address and your name (so I know who you are and how to contact you if you win). The draw will take place at midnight Australia EST on Tuesday 21 September.
Good luck and thank you all so very much for the support!

Blossoms

Spring is such a beautiful time of the year... the blossoms with the most delicate perfume, the sunshine and the fresh breeze, the green baby leaves, birds' love songs, the point of no return when it feels as if winter will never come back. I wish I could spend my entire days outside and take the deepest breaths of spring to last for the rest of the year.

Since none of these is possible, I will try to capture the Forever Spring in my jewellery, a collection of flowers, ladybirds and bees, fresh green leaves, birds and songs with the occasional rain drops and rainbows.

This is my first attempt, a bunch of delicate blue flowers wrapped in copper wire. This one will be a pendant on a copper chain, soon available in my online shop. More to come :) Thanks for looking!

Welcome!

It has been a long journey getting this blog ready, but it is finally done and I would like to welcome you all to my very own jewellery cyber space.

As expected, you will find here photos of my creations and links to my Etsy online shop where you can buy them. However this space will offer much more than just this, it will give you an insight in the creation process of every single piece of my jewellery.

I will share with you the inspiration and the excitement of new ideas, the design and the big plans, the creation with its frustrations and discoveries and of course the end piece which most of the times turns out completely differently than planned, but nevertheless unique and beautiful.

Please stop by and leave a comment, a suggestion, a question and if you like what you see, why not follow me down the jewellery making road and enjoy the colourful ride!

Thank you,

Catalina
